kyBEllA®

  • The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.

  • The amount of product varies from person to person as we each have unique anatomy and individual goals. You may receive up to 6 treatment sessions, spaced at least 1 month apart. Many patients experience visible results in 2 to 4 KYBELLA® treatments. 59% of patients received 6 treatments in clinical studies.

  • KYBELLA® injections can start working immediately, but you can expect to see results four to six weeks after your first injection session. The length of time it takes to see results depends on several factors, including the number of treatment sessions needed and how well your body eliminates the fat cells destroyed during treatment.

  • One of the best parts about KYBELLA® is that it is permanent. Once the fat cells are destroyed, they do not come back!

  • Each person's body responds differently to KYBELLA®, but many experience mild to moderate swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness around the treatment area. Each day the side effects lessen and you should be back to normal by 2 weeks.

    Most people are back to work right away, but some choose to take a few days off or schedule treatment near the weekend to allow the initial swelling to resolve.
