DERMAL FILLERS (JUVEDERM®/RESTYLANE®)

Dermal fillers (also known as Juvederm®, Restylane®, or simply “filler”) help to restore lost volume, add hydration, and contour/enhance our facial features. Dermal fillers can also add volume and hydration to other areas such as our hands and décolleté.

Align Aesthetic Lounge carries a wide range of dermal fillers, each one unique with different properties to address a variety of concerns. All of our fillers are FDA-approved and made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance found in our skin.

    Both collections of fillers are FDA approved in the US for select areas of the face. Both are well-trusted and well-studied. During your consultation, a facial assessment is conducted as well as a thorough discussion of your goals. This will help us determine which products are right for you!

  • While you can see results immediately after your appointment, dermal fillers take 2-4 weeks to fully settle into the skin. In addition, hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic - meaning it attracts water. It is not until your dermal filler settles and this water attraction occurs that you will see your final lasting result.

  • Most dermal fillers last an average of 6-12 months, with the average being 9-12 months. Some dermal fillers can last 18+ months.

  • After your dermal filler appointment, you could experience mild to moderate swelling, slight redness at the injection sites, and bruising. These effects are usually most evident in the first few days, then gradually resolve over 1-2 weeks.

    Most of our clients receiving dermal filler are back to work the next day. If you are getting filler to a more sensitive area such as the lips, some clients desire to have treatment on a Friday so the majority of the swelling is resolved by Monday!

  • I recommend scheduling an appointment for dermal filler approximately 2-4 months before any special event. This gives ample time for the initial filler appointment plus follow-up appointments to ensure the final result is perfect!
